The ICGEB-SAWBP Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme supports South African women researchers holding a PhD degree in Biotechnology or a related discipline to perform hypothesis-driven research at ICGEB Cape Town.

About This Opportunity

The program is a partnership between ICGEB, the Department of Science, Technology and Innovation, and the National Research Foundation (NRF) of South Africa. It offers a two-year postdoctoral position in a top-class international scientific environment at ICGEB Cape Town in specified macro areas of biotechnology.

Eligibility

  • Female applicants only who are South African citizens or South African Permanent Residents with a valid South African ID number
  • Hold a PhD degree in Biotechnology or a related discipline
  • Preference given to Black and disabled applicants
